DAY 1: CASABLANCA - RABAT - MEKNES - VOLUBILIS - FES

Then it's on to Rabat, Morocco's capital, to see the busy Medina (ancient city) and the Hassan Tower's minaret. The Mohammed V Mausoleum, the beautiful and evocative Oudayas Kasbah, and the walls of the Mechouar around the Royal Palace will also be included in the itinerary. Then we travel to Meknes, which was the imperial capital at the end of the 17th century. We go go to the amazing Roman ruins of Volubilis, which have mosaics and temples. DAY 2: FES CITY TOUR

Today you will have a day excursion to Fes and we will explore the historic Medina of Fes; a particularly fascinating experience since entering the huge labyrinthine lanes feels like stepping back in time. In these steep, narrow lanes, donkeys and mules are the sole modes of transportation. The souk, where perfumes and spices are exchanged, emits delectable aromas. DAY 3: FES - MIDELT - ERFOUD - RISSANI - MERZOUGA SAHARA DESERT AND CAMEL RIDE

Today, we continue our journey across Morocco, passing through hills covered in forests of cork oak and gigantic cedar, which are home to a few Barbary apes. After lunch in Midelt, we will travel south to Erfoud and Rissani, a vast oasis with over six million palm trees surrounded by several ksours. When we arrive at Merzouga, we continue over a spectacular road that symbolizes the change to desert. We'll be greeted with a cup of tea. We enjoy some downtime before riding camels into the pink sands of Morocco's tallest dunes. We'll have enough time to explore the dunes before nightfall. Dinner is provided, followed by traditional music and a night spent in a nomadic tent.

DAY 4: MERZOUGA SAHARA DESERT - RISSANI - TODGHA GORGES - DADES GORGES

We get up early to see the dawn, when the colors of the dunes combine with the movement of shadows to create an amazing sight. We ride the camels for a couple of hours after breakfast before heading to Tinghir and Todra Gorges for lunch. Tinejdad and the Todra Valley are traversed by the road. There are several chances to stroll in this beautiful region, such as along the river through the gardens or up the road on the opposite side of the GORGES. Later, we'll see the Dades Valley and the Dades Gorges before retiring to a hotel for the night.

DAY 5: DADES GORGES - OUARZAZATE - AIT BENHADDOU - TIZI N'TICHKA - MARRAKECH

Morocco 6-Day Culture Tour continues over the Dades Valley from Casablanca. We offer an optional 1-2 hour trip through the settlements, through fields cultivated by Berber women and the High Atlas hills. We continue on to Ouarzazate, where we see Berber nomads in their caves and pass through the Valley of the Roses, famed for its Rose Festival in May, and the Skoura kasbahs. We stop in Ouarzazate before continuing on to Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage monument that has served as the setting for several Hollywood blockbusters. We also visit Telouet Kasbah, which is located right in the middle of the highlands and was formerly the residence of the last Pasha of Marrakech, El Glaoui, from where the highest pass in Africa, Tizi n'Tichka, was controlled.
