This private journey is planned around the interests of your group, with route choices explained before confirmation.
Aït Ben Haddou
Walk through the earthen lanes and climb gradually for views over the surrounding landscape. Comfortable footwear and time for uneven paths help you enjoy the visit. This historic ksar pairs naturally with Ouarzazate on journeys between Marrakech and the southern valleys.
Merzouga & Erg Chebbi
Experience the dunes at sunset, discuss a camel ride or vehicle transfer and spend a night in a desert camp chosen for your comfort level. A second night allows a less hurried Sahara visit. Merzouga is a long road journey from Marrakech, so choose your itinerary with realistic driving days.
How to connect these destinations
First visit: Marrakech, Aït Ben Haddou and Merzouga connect on a southern route; add Fes when you have more days. Northern journey: Tangier, Asilah, Tetouan and Chefchaouen fit naturally together. Coastal finish: Essaouira or Agadir offers time to slow down. Avoid fitting every destination into a short circuit.

Explore itineraries and practical travel options
Marrakech
Wander the medina souks, visit Bahia Palace and Ben Youssef Madrasa, then enjoy the atmosphere around Jemaa el-Fna. Allow two or three nights to balance guided visits with time in your riad. Marrakech also connects naturally with the High Atlas, Essaouira and the road toward the Sahara.
Casablanca
See the Hassan II Mosque, explore the city’s contrasting architecture and pause along the Corniche. Casablanca is a practical international arrival point rather than a substitute for the historic medinas. One night can work well before a private route through Rabat, Fes and the desert.
Combine the Kasbah of the Udayas with the Hassan Tower area and a relaxed walk beside the Bou Regreg. Rabat rewards a slower visit with gardens, coastal views and a calmer medina. Include a full day or an overnight stop between Casablanca and Morocco’s northern cities.
Explore the lanes of Fes el-Bali with a local guide, discover historic madrasas and watch traditional craft workshops. Two nights leave time to appreciate the medina without rushing. Fes is also a useful base for Meknes and Volubilis before continuing through the Middle Atlas toward Merzouga.
Meknes brings monumental gateways, medina streets and imperial history into a manageable stop. Pair the city with the Roman ruins of Volubilis and views toward Moulay Idriss Zerhoun. A day from Fes suits many itineraries; an overnight stay creates a gentler pace.
Chefchaouen
Enjoy the blue lanes early in the morning, browse small workshops and find a terrace overlooking the rooftops. One or two nights give more flexibility than a hurried photo stop. Chefchaouen works especially well between Tangier and Fes on a northern Morocco journey.
Tangier
Explore the kasbah and medina, enjoy sea views and discover Tangier’s layered cultural character. Nearby coastal viewpoints can be included according to your arrival time. Stay one or two nights before continuing to Asilah, Tetouan or Chefchaouen.
Asilah offers whitewashed lanes, colourful doorways and Atlantic-facing ramparts. It is an appealing slower stop for art, photography and a relaxed lunch. Visit from Tangier or spend a night here when your route allows time along the northern coast.
Tetouan
Discover a white medina shaped by Andalusian traditions, artisan streets and the meeting of mountain and Mediterranean influences. A guided walk adds context to its quieter lanes. Combine Tetouan with Tangier and Chefchaouen for a northern route with more variety.
Ifrane offers a change of scenery with mountain air, tidy avenues and an unusual alpine architectural character. Treat it as a scenic pause on a Middle Atlas drive rather than a long urban visit. Weather and daylight shape stops on the onward journey toward Midelt and the Sahara.
Ouarzazate
Use Ouarzazate as a gateway to the valleys and desert, with time for the Taourirt area and film heritage if these interest you. An overnight stop can soften a long drive across the High Atlas. Continue toward Skoura, Dades or the Draa Valley according to your route.
Essaouira
Explore the medina, watch activity around the fishing harbour and enjoy the ocean air along the ramparts. A day trip from Marrakech is possible; one or two nights create room for a slower coastal stay. The Atlantic breeze is part of the experience, so bring a light layer.
Agadir suits travellers who want a beach stay alongside their private Morocco itinerary. Combine the seafront with a viewpoint visit and time to unwind. It also works as a starting point for Taroudant and southern routes, with distances planned around the pace of your party.
Taroudant
Discover warm-toned ramparts, traditional souks and a smaller city atmosphere beneath the southern mountain ranges. Taroudant makes a rewarding addition from Agadir or a stop on a southern Morocco journey. Allow time to walk and browse rather than treating it only as a roadside photograph.
