Leave Marrakech with your private driver and travel across the High Atlas Mountains toward southern Morocco. The journey follows the Tizi n’Tichka road, with time for scenic viewpoints and comfortable stops before reaching Ait Ben Haddou. Explore the UNESCO-listed ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s best-known fortified villages, and walk through its narrow earthen streets while taking in views across the surrounding valley. Continue to Ouarzazate, known for its kasbah landscapes and long association with international film productions. From Ouarzazate, continue through the valle del Draay, where palm groves, traditional villages and oasis scenery gradually introduce the desert landscapes of southern Morocco. The route then leads to Zagora for your desert experience. Depending on your confirmed arrangements, continue to your selected desert camp for the night.
ZAGORA – DRAA VALLEY – OUARZAZATE – TIZI N’TICHKA – MARRAKECH
Wake early if you would like to enjoy sunrise over the desert surroundings before breakfast. After leaving Zagora, begin the return journey toward Marrakech through the valle del Draay. The drive follows a long chain of palm oases, traditional adobe villages and kasbah landscapes. There is time for selected viewpoints and breaks along the route before continuing through Ouarzazate. From Ouarzazate, cross the High Atlas Mountains toward Marrakech, with additional stops at scenic points when road conditions and timing allow. The changing landscapes make the return journey part of the experience rather than simply a transfer back to the city. Arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon or evening and finish the tour at your hotel, riad or another agreed location. Approximate driving time: around 6½–7½ hours, excluding visits, meals and rest stops.
