MARRAKECH – HIGH ATLAS – AIT BEN HADDOU – OUARZAZATE – DADES VALLEY

Leave Marrakech with your private driver and cross the High Atlas Mountains along the Tizi n’Tichka route. The journey includes opportunities to stop at mountain viewpoints before descending toward the landscapes of southern Morocco. Continue to Ait Ben Haddou, the UNESCO-listed fortified ksar known for its earthen architecture and dramatic setting. Allow time to walk through the village and enjoy views across the surrounding valley. After Ait Ben Haddou, continue toward Ouarzazate, a gateway to the kasbahs and desert landscapes of southern Morocco. From here, travel through the Valley of Roses toward Dades Valley, where rocky formations, traditional villages and cultivated valleys create a very different landscape from Marrakech. Arrive in the Dades region for your first overnight stay.

DADES VALLEY – TODRA GORGE – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA

After breakfast, leave Dades and continue toward Todra Gorge. Stop near the gorge for a short walk between its towering rock walls and enjoy the scenery of the Todra Valley. The journey then continues through southeastern Morocco toward Erfoud and the Tafilalt region. Palm oases and increasingly arid landscapes mark the transition toward the Sahara. Arrive in Merzouga beside the Erg Chebbi dunes during the afternoon. Depending on your confirmed arrangements, prepare for a camel ride into the dunes around sunset before continuing to your desert camp.Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by the Sahara landscape. Approximate driving time: around 4–5 hours, excluding sightseeing, lunch and desert activities.

MERZOUGA – ERG CHEBBI DESERT EXPERIENCE – LOCAL VILLAGES – MERZOUGA

Wake early if you would like to watch sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes before breakfast. Today is dedicated to exploring the Merzouga region rather than spending another full day on the road. Depending on your interests and confirmed itinerary, the day can include a scenic drive around Erg Chebbi, desert viewpoints, nearby villages and opportunities to learn more about life in this part of southeastern Morocco. There may also be time for optional desert activities such as quad biking, buggy rides or an additional camel experience if arranged in advance. The slower pace gives you more time to enjoy the Sahara, take photographs and experience the changing colors of the dunes throughout the day. Spend another night in the Merzouga area or at your selected desert accommodation. Driving time:

MERZOUGA – RISSANI – ALNIF – NKOB – DRAA VALLEY – AGDZ

After breakfast, leave Merzouga and travel west through Rissani, one of the historic trading centers of the Tafilalt region. On market days, the traditional souk offers an interesting glimpse of local commerce and daily life. Continue through the arid landscapes around Alnif and Nkob as the route gradually approaches the Draa Valley. The scenery changes again as long stretches of palm groves, adobe villages and traditional kasbahs begin to appear. The Draa Valley is one of southern Morocco’s most characteristic oasis landscapes and provides a scenic contrast to the open desert around Merzouga. Continue toward Agdz, located near the northern part of the Draa Valley, for your overnight stay. Approximate driving time: around 5–6 hours, excluding sightseeing, meals and rest stops.

AGDZ – DRAA VALLEY – OUARZAZATE – HIGH ATLAS – MARRAKECH

After breakfast, spend some time enjoying the landscapes around Agdz and the Draa Valley before beginning the return journey toward Marrakech. Travel north toward Ouarzazate through a landscape of palm groves, kasbahs and mountain scenery. From Ouarzazate, continue toward the High Atlas Mountains. Cross the Tizi n’Tichka route back toward Marrakech, with scenic and comfort stops when timing and road conditions allow. The journey ends with arrival in Marrakech during the late afternoon or evening. Your driver will drop you at your hotel, riad or another agreed location in the city.
