01

MARRAKECH – HIGH ATLAS – AIT BEN HADDOU – OUARZAZATE

Leave Marrakech with your private driver and begin the journey across the High Atlas Mountains. The route follows the Tizi n’Tichka road, with opportunities to stop at scenic viewpoints and enjoy the changing mountain landscapes. Continue to Ait Ben Haddou, the UNESCO-listed fortified ksar known for its traditional earthen architecture. Take time to walk through the village and enjoy views across the surrounding valley before continuing toward Ouarzazate. Arrive in Ouarzazate, one of the main gateways to southern Morocco and a region associated with kasbah architecture and international film productions. Depending on timing, there may be an opportunity for additional sightseeing before your overnight stay. Approximate driving time: around 4–5 hours, excluding sightseeing, meals and photo stops.

02

OUARZAZATE – VALLEY OF ROSES – DADES VALLEY – TODRA GORGE – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA

After breakfast, leave Ouarzazate and travel east through the landscapes of southern Morocco. Continue through the Valley of Roses and Dades Valley, where traditional villages, rocky formations and cultivated areas create a striking contrast with the surrounding mountains. Proceed toward Todra Gorge and stop for a short walk between its dramatic rock walls. From here, continue through southeastern Morocco toward Erfoud and the Tafilalt region. The scenery becomes increasingly arid as you approach Merzouga and the Erg Chebbi dunes. Arrive in the Merzouga region in the late afternoon or evening and settle into your selected accommodation. Approximate driving time: around 6–7 hours, excluding sightseeing, meals and rest stops.

03

MERZOUGA DESERT EXPERIENCE – ERG CHEBBI – CAMEL RIDE – DESERT CAMP

Spend the day discovering the Merzouga region and the landscapes surrounding Erg Chebbi. Depending on your interests and confirmed arrangements, the day can include a scenic drive around the dunes, desert viewpoints, nearby villages and opportunities to learn more about local life in the Sahara region. Later in the day, prepare for your desert experience. Ride by camel across the Erg Chebbi dunes around sunset or use suitable desert transport to reach your camp, depending on the package selected. Enjoy the changing colors of the dunes before dinner and an overnight stay in the Sahara. The evening offers time to experience the quiet desert atmosphere beneath the night sky. Driving time: mainly short local transfers around Merzouga, depending on the activities selected.

04

MERZOUGA – RISSANI – ALNIF – NKOB – DRAA VALLEY – AGDZ

Wake early if you would like to watch sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes before breakfast. After leaving Merzouga, travel through Rissani, a historic trading town in the Tafilalt region. On market days, the traditional souk offers an additional glimpse of local commerce and daily life. Continue west through the arid landscapes around Alnif and Nkob. The route gradually changes as you approach the Draa Valley, where long stretches of palm groves, adobe villages and kasbahs begin to dominate the scenery. Arrive in Agdz, located at the northern entrance to the Draa Valley, for your overnight stay. Approximate driving time: around 5–6 hours, excluding sightseeing, meals and rest stops.

05

AGDZ – DRAA VALLEY – ZAGORA – OUARZAZATE

After breakfast, travel south through the Draa Valley toward Zagora. The route follows one of southern Morocco’s most distinctive oasis landscapes, with palm groves, traditional villages, kasbahs and dry mountain scenery along the way. Spend time around Zagora and the surrounding desert- edge landscapes before beginning the return journey north. Continue back through the Draa Valley toward Agdz and then onward to Ouarzazate. The journey provides another opportunity to experience the valley from a different perspective, with practical stops for viewpoints, photographs and refreshments when timing allows. Arrive in Ouarzazate for your final overnight stay before returning to Marrakech. Approximate driving time: around 5–6 hours, excluding sightseeing, meals and scenic stops.

06

OUARZAZATE – TAOURIRT – HIGH ATLAS – TIZI N’TICHKA – MARRAKECH
